I wish I didn’t know how it feels

I watched someone get fired today. Carrie had been my co-worker since I started here in May, and the one person with a worse on-time record than I ever remember myself having at any other job. I guess it finally caught up with her. She had just gotten her insurance about three weeks ago, too.

It kind of brings back that unsettling feeling I got when I was fired from Borden’s. I’ll be the first to admit that I screwed up there. From my experience, I can guess there are two things she’s thinking about on the way home — "How the fuck could they fire me?", and "What am I gonna do now?". In my case, I cleaned my room.

If you’re reading this Carrie, drop me a line and let me know how you’re doing. And good luck with whatever you decide to do.
