Some accomidations would be nice

Sunday, January 30th, 2000

As if things weren’t already hard enough when it came to dealing with the sale of the house, Shannon and I just got back from the realtors office. Our reason for being there: to listen to a bid for the house.

If everything stays as it is now, we will have until April 1st to find new accomidations. Otherwise, we’ll be the fools out on the street.

Bad realtor, no biscuit!!!

OK, so who do you have picked for the big game tonight? I personaly think Tenessee is going to win it in a close one. I actually predicted who was going to be playing tonight back at the start of the playoffs. Lame piece of Fischler trivia there for ya….

Random gripes

This has turned into a twice-a-week deal lately. Maybe when things settle in a bit more, I can restart the ritualistic updates again.

Now for the gripe of the moment. I am sick and tired of my sister treating me like the bad guy every time I tell her there are realtors coming to show the house. I know she hates all of this. I’m not all that fond of it myself. This is hard enough to do without a sarcastic and venomous bitch making me feel like shit just because I’m trying to be courtious.

I still love my sister, though….

Woo-hoo!!!

Back when I entered high school, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I had everything all planed out. But somewhere along the way, things changed for me. I wound up just trying to get out of school in four years, leaving me with no clear career path.

What followed is what I term my “lost years”. Stumbeling from job to job and school to school, not knowing exactly what I wanted from life. It wasn’t until a year ago that I decided on the field of graphic arts, and to be more specific, web design.

Today I took that first career step.

As of 8:30 this morning, I became the first web designer on the payroll of Marathon Data Systems. My first offical project: redesign the company web site. It amazing what a difference a year makes. Instead of schleping software and discounted crap computers for minimum wage at Staples, I’m now have a career doing what I want to do for a living for considerably more money.

I just have to keep telling myself this isn’t a dream….

I really have to start doing this in a more timely manner

Maybe I was seeing things, or maybe it was just my brain suffering from frostbite, (we got our first snowfall of the season yesterday,)but I just saw a commercial for one of those cheezy compilation albums called “101 Hymns”, and as the insperational titles scrolled up on the tube, I saw “Rock Of Ages”. Maybe there is a hymn by that name, but I think whoever was putting together that comercial was pulling double duty and got one of his “Rock Of The 80′s” titles mixed in.

It’s amazing what is deemed interesting at four in the morning.
