Two against nature, don’t you know….

You just can’t beat this — singing, dancing, Steely Dan greeting cards in honor of the new album, which I’m listening to as I write this.

I’m not a crook…honest!

Ev‘s search pane bookmarklet was posted 9:43 AM today. Mine was posted at 12:17 PM. Same function. Same code. Total coincidence, I swear. How can you explain that?

It’s a rehashed design, but at least it looks better

While it’s not my best work to date, Viking’s new web site has definately been the biggest I’ve ever done, weighing in at 40+ pages. Considering the ammount and quality of material I had to start with, and the fact I was fixing up someone else’s design, I’m pretty content with it.

But I’ve still got the creeps from having to scour the net for pictures of cockroaches, termites, and other assorted pests. I guess that’s the down side to working with a clientel that is 90% pest control companies.

You can never know too little….

I guess I should be semi-impressed with myself. Considering my inherant lack of expertise with JavaScript, I’ve managed to actually write a Bookmarklet. Thanks to DanDot‘s discovery of how to view pages in Internet Explorer’s “Search” pane, and using Mr. Kottke‘s web-cam bookmarklet as a template, I came up with this. Eventually, I have my own shiznit in there, instead of Cam‘s.

I know clicking any of the links only puts the pages in the same window. That’s what you get when you leave content in the hands of someone else, especially when they have no idea they’re providing it! ^_^

I’m a sucker for cartoons

I am really looking forward to Titan A.E. An animated sci-fi flic with an obvious (at least to me) anime influence. It has a lot of potential. I just hope that it lives up to it. The web site looks like it could be fun, if it didn’t bring my P-120 to a screeching halt with it’s 150% use of Flash for the interface. You know, you can still make good web site with plain old HTML….
