This is the second time I’m writing this. A hicup by my computer wiped out my beautifly written entry praising the virutes of traversing Manhattan on a warm spring night with no set agenda. I’ll probably write a more detailed story of the events later on, but for now I think I’ll just mention some of the highlights.
The city looks so peaceful from the top of one of the numerious skyscrapers strewn about the city, but I was left speechless by the sight of it from the Empire State building at night. The whole city seemed to have a laid back attitude from up there.
And then there was Union Square, which was just as laid back. It was as if I was sitting in with 100 of my closest friends, each doing their own thing. Such peace and calm, and yet such energy. If more people could experience this side of the city, maybe the Big Apple wouldn’t have such a bad rap.
