eugenemirman.com manages to be funny and creepy at the same time. Something about that photograph singing songs just messes with my mind….

A hard twin bill to pull off
Friday, June 29th, 2001Opening my ears, eyes and mind
Friday, June 29th, 2001Last night I found myself sitting on the L train at 2:30 in the morning as the sounds of a subway cars air conditioning and pneumatic drills from construction crews washed over me, and all I could do was laugh. I was living a Coca-Cola commercial. For one brief moment, I was content to sit and let the moment just happen.
The lead up to my moment of zen was the 2001 Jammys, where I saw the likes of Les Claypool, John Popper and Bernie Williams (yes, the Yankees center fielder) rock out with some of the most talented jam musicians in what I have to call a phenominal night of music at the Roseland Ballroom.
In fact, the night had just about a little bit of everything, and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it for anything. I’d just like to thank Vanessa, Mike, Warren, Beth, and Laura for a great time, and here’s hoping we can do it again sometime.
Crack-down
Thursday, June 28th, 2001"Raving lunacy" is just the right title for this Salon article on how 80′s crack house laws are being used to shut down raves because god forbid, some kids do drugs there. Instead of condeming raves and the things associated with them as a whole with almost militaristic actions, why not try compasion, understanding and education?
In my opinion, this is just another case of over-react first, and ask questions later.
Similar sound patterns
Thursday, June 28th, 2001Pixelperson.com points out that Beck’s "Loser" and the Allman Brother’s "Midnight Rider" sound amazingly similar. I think they got a good case, but when it comes to creativity everyone steals from everyone else, right? ^_^
Isometricly pixelated goodness
