Sliping and sliding

Well, that nasty "R" word that’s been on the tip of everyone’s tongue for the last few months has finally slipped out: The U.S. is now officially in a recession. Not as bleak as it sounds, since we’re expected to pull out of it by July 2002, but it helps to say these things. Admitting you have a problem is the first step twoards recovery. ^_^

chew on this, Beavis! A vast majority of macroeconomics is worthless. Unemployment rate, for example, is either 100% or 0%, and truly only affects the individual out of the work loop. To the individual person, he or she isn’t 4.7% unemployed.

and that’s all for my (un)wise words of today.

    ciao
