So long to the year of the “Space Odyssey”

Just a half hour to go. Twenty-oh-one is on it’s way out, and I’m sitting here in front of Adam & Kelly’s computer comptemplating how much has changed in this year. All in all, I know I won’t forget it. Say hello to 2002, and to all the new posibilites it holds.

Ominous words in unclean facilities

From the inside of a bathroom stall in the building I work at: "Stay tuned for the great loss of jobs ahead!" I just find it funny that the sole piece of grafitti in there is about the health of the job market.

Weak and annoying

Wouldn’t you just know it. Here it is New Year’s Eve and I’m fighting off some damn cold. At least I’m not suffering alone — at least three other people I’ve talked to are going through the same thing.

It’s not even the debilitating type of cold either. I get all of the aches, coughing, and other symptoms without the loss of energy. It’s like the viral equivilant of a piece of toilet paper that gets stuck to your shoe after you walk out of restroom.

Can anyone tell me where to nearest garbage can for colds is?

Someone’s missing the point here

Heard yesterday during the closing credits of "Lord of the Rings": "That was the longest movie I’ve ever seen without a point." Perhaps someone should tell them that the movie was based on a book, or that there are another two movies on the way. Somehow I think that kind of knowledge would have been lost on them….

Little needles and screams of pain would be nice about now

I’m in a slightly perturbed mood right now. Someone in the IT department decided to make changes to the network without warning anyone of what was going to happen. As a result, I had to sit and wait for it to be resolved before I could get back to work.

Wish I had a voodoo doll or something…. ^_^
