Reed Hastings, founder of Netflix, comes of as one of the truly good people of the world in this New York Times writeup. Not only is he leading his mail-order DVD rental company into battle against Blockbuster, but he’s also the president of the California State Board of Education. Not too shabby.

Reed Hastings is an asshole. he ranks with other assholes, like George W. for example.
I am doing all I can to ruin his netflix business, because it is NOT user friendly, it is greenback hungry. The population doesn’t know that, because they are 95% illiterate, which is the problem with these types of assholes making headway. When his building in San Jose is demolished, he will then know that some of us out here are not illiterate, but really pissed at people like reed hastings. director of education for the state of california – what a fucking joke!!!!

joe’s just mad because he didn’t think of, nor have the gumption to execute, the simple but great idea behind netflix.
Actually, Reed Hastings must be a cunning little bastard because Netflix is in no way helpful to its customers. In the case of a problem, there is no way to contact Netflix by telephone, only via e-mail. However, your e-mails are never answered. My credit card has been double-charged for a “free trial” and I have no way to contact them because they’re too cheap to splurge on some real customer service, or even an 800 number. That’s genius for you: cheating people out of small amounts of money and hoping they just give up and forget about it.
I have to say I’m in total agreement with Wendy.
Netflix is the biggest ripoff out there. They charge your credit card, but never deliver the goods. It took me five months of sending e-mails to people that NEVER respond, to finally realize that they just are a crooked company that has no interest in servicing their customers.
Reed Hastings is a crook a liar and a theif. I would strongly recomend that NO ONE, EVER do business with Netflix.
