Hey flyers, a tip: for short trips, take the train

The airline industry is collectively groaning that many of the new security measures added after 9/11 are choking their business and want some of the measures streamlined or removed altogether.

One of their bright ideas for a replacement: The “trusted traveler” program, which will more than likely be in the form of both an ID-card and a tax burden on the flying public at large.

Just what we need: another form of ID that will eventually be forged and allow easier access to our planes by unsavory individuals. I swear, sometime the collective brainpower of the airlines is just astounding!
