Before you read any more of my words, go right now and read the transcript of President Bush’s address to the U.N..
My thoughts: After reading this, I can honestly say that Mr. Bush has met the burden of proof in my eyes, and there can be only one of two courses of action: either Iraq gives into all demands made by the U.N. from 1991 on through the present, or we’re going to have to force it upon Sadam and his croanies.
And I doubt it’ll be the choice where we don’t have to get involved in a massive military operation. It scares me and infuriates me that we live in a world where things like this happen, (I used to imagine that war was a thing of the past, meant only for the history books,) but alas my rose-colored world of peace and harmony is in stark contrast to the world we actually live in.
May the heads of state the world over do the right thing by the citizens of the nation of Iraq — whatever action that may entail.
