Bands, brews, bass and prayer flags

There is something good to be said about hanging out with people you haven’t seen in a long time. It’s also said that this is usually a formula for a late night. Both of these were true last night.

I got in touch with my friend Sue for the first time in months two nights ago after she dumped the unsavory characters she had been hanging around with (yeah Sue!). We made plans yesterday afternoon to hang out, and last night we Stone Pony and catch a local band, the Elephant Men, and then out to Seaside Heights and Captain Hooks to relax with a few brews.

At Hooks, we ran into two more friend who I haven’t see in a dog’s age — John Riczu and Erica. We discussed many things at both the bar and later on over at Jon’s killer pad (especially considering the town it’s in ^_^ ). I got a crash course in music theory as it applies to the bass (of which I only remember the term “Ionian”). It was fun.

Good things like this need to happen to more people more often.
