The past comes alive with a little outside help

I enjoy the comments I get on the posts I make (nothing quite like reader feedack), but usually when the post moves off the home page it sits quietly, to be reflected upon only once in a blue moon.

But something strange has been occuring over the past few days — some of these posts are coming back to life on their own. First there was one of the strangest comments I’ve ever received on a topic that lost steam over two months ago. Then this morning I got a comment on a post I made back in January…of 2001. What the fuck is going on here???

Then it hit me: Google finally caught up with my site changes and indexed my weblog archives. YES! I had been waiting for this to happen for a while now, and it’s one of the reasons I made the switch to Movable Type to handle my back-end woes.

Damn, I haven’t been this excited about search engine results since I became the most popular Andrew Fischler on Google or my first listing on Yahoo!. ^_^

Usually I’m not cool with shameless self promotion on my server space (unless it’s by me), but in the immortal words of Mills Lane: “I’ll allow it!” ^_^
