Think C-SPAN is living proof that there is no way to make politics on television interesting? Well, this guy has an idea that just might work: why not turn the presidential race into a reality TV show? An interesting read at the very least, and not as half-baked a scheme as you’d figure:
Just about the same time as the Democrats and Republicans announce their candidates, the winner of Who Wants to Run For President would be decided. If that final episode airs during the national conventions, I’ll give you three guesses which will get higher ratings.
While part of me feels a show like this would just lead to the further decay of our society, at least it stands a chance of getting people interested in the political process again. That can’t be all bad, now can it?
