I spent Saturday night over at the Saint taking in the musical stylings of Confusion’s Prince and RANA with Don. I knew RANA was a great band and they certainly didn’t disappoint with their headlining performance, but their opener sure gave them a run for the money. According to the members of Confusion’s Prince, they had only played together for three shows. If that’s the case, then I can’t wait to see these guys again once they’ve got some miles under their belt.
As for RANA, I have yet to come away from one of their shows unimpressed. Chances are pretty good that I’ll be heading up to the big bad city to check them out at CBGB’s on New Years, with a late show by Dr. Didg also on the agenda. So it’s not Times Square when the ball drops, but at least I won’t have to fight the hordes just for the privilege of freezing in the cold of that concrete canyon. I’ll save that for another year. ^_^
