While doing some CSS work tonight, I came across this novel way of hiding certain code from Netscape 4 that I’ve never seen used before, but is working like a dream on this project. They have some other CSS hacks listed in the css-discuss Wiki. Yet another page in the online reference book.
(I expect no one but myself to take true interest in the previous post, but if you got something useful out of it, big ups to you. This is simply here so I don’t lose this link.) ^_^
Does that also work for IE?
Hides from NS4, shows in IE 5.5+, Mozilla and all derivitive browsers (Netscape, Phoenix, Chimera, etc.). Saving me lots of time, thought I’d be much happier if I never had to code around Netscape 4 ever again. I could of had this project done weeks ago if I could use the full power of CSS and XHTML.
Sorry, geek rant. But you did ask…. ^_^
Why NS4 though? Isn’t that so like years ago?
