And digital camera’s continue to shrink. Need proof? Check out this little wearable number from Philips. Now imagine forgetting to take that out of your pocket and runnign it through the wash. While the neat-o factor is way up there, I have to ask: when do things start getting too small to be truly useful?

Saturday, March 15th, 2003Optical camouflage has long been one of those favorite technologies that sci-fi writers have used in their stories, but believe it or not someone is actually working on making it a reality. Of course, at the moment it’s not all that portable and the subject doesn’t quite disappear from view so much as they become a living projection screen, but it’s a start.
I say it’s about time that science started delivering on all the hype of the sci-fi writers. I’m still waiting for my flying car and weekend vacations to moon resorts dammit! ^_^
Now if they could only imrpove the quality of the content that’s being broadcast….
Saturday, March 15th, 2003Radio is following the lead of television and heading to the realm of digital broadcasting. This bump will give us AM stations that sound better than FM and FM stations running CD quality sound, not to mention other things like artist and song names to be displayed on the receiver. Of course that receiver will have to be one of the new ones capable of receiving digital broadcasts, but when did any kind of technological revolution ever take place overnight and without cost?

Friday, March 14th, 2003Finding myself with a few minutes to actually work on this site, I’ve managed to fix a problem with the comments not showing up that was caused when I upgraded the Moveable Type backend.
Keep your fingers crossed that I actually find the time to enact more than just bug fixes to this site, because I have some really great ideas I want to implement.
(I know, I know…it’s the same old song and dance until I actually do something). ^_^
