Projected controls and their infinite possibilities

You know those cool interfaces Minority Report and The Matrix Reloaded where people just grab at objects on a floating screen to manipulate and control their computers? Well, it might not be as far off as you’d think. Someone over at MIT by the name of James Patten has been doing some very real work with creating Tangible Interfaces. He’s even managed to apply all his work to somethign he calls AudioPad, which can allow you to control electronic music with the interface. You have to watch the videos to beleive it. Having always had a fascination with interface design, this is something I’m going to be keeping a close eye on.

Sorry to post a comment that has nothing to do with the subject of your post, but I have to comment on the layout/appearance of your blog. I think it’s great. Very attractive and uncluttered. Love the building graphic on the header. Really nice.
