News from the digital music front today. The good: online music store downloads will be added to the tallies for gold and platinum records. What kept them from doing so in the first place makes me scratch my head a bit. They are sales after all, right?
The bad: a new broadly worded copyright bill could threaten MP3 players and then some, all in an attempt to legislate against P2P networks like Kazaa and Grokster. May this bill (and any like it) meet a quick and violent demise when vote time comes around.
