Today the first set of acts for this year’s Bonnaroo were announced. Not half bad, either. Now I just hope they don’t set up the schedule so two or three of the bands I want to see are all playing at the same time. Overlap is okay, but last year was a tad infuriating at times.
And what acts am I excited to see? Well, in order from the web site: Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Bela Fleck Acoustic Trio, Keller Williams, STS9, Toots and the Maytals, Umphrey’s McGee, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Drive-By Truckers, Particle and the John Butler Trio.
Surprise listing goes to Modest Mouse, who I’ll have to check out as my Bonnaroo curiosity of the year. Besides, I doubt my sister would ever talk to me again if I didn’t at least make the attempt.
