Lining up my life

This week has been kind of draining. Lots of emotional ups and downs. Of course, there’s precious little time to reflect upon all of that, because the next looks to be just as hectic. My journal gets all the really good details, but I still got love for the blog and its many readers:

  • The events of Tuesday night were good, but somehow I knew that Wednesday morning email that followed would reset the game for me once again. Andy’s back on the hunt, I suppose.
  • My sister called me on Wednesday to tell me our Mom’s dog was vet bound with serious issues. Might be cancer, or something else. That bummed me out to no end, and things still have a chance to get worse. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Mind doing the same on her behalf?
  • After all that, I think some entertainment is in order. Galactic plays Irving Plaza tonight. I’m there, and boy do I need it.
  • The long alluded to high school reunion is tomorrow, and I’m keeping that thought as far from my mind as possible at the moment. I’ll wait until I’m driving back down to Point Pleasant to start freaking.
  • Next weekend it looks as though I’m heading down to DC for more Galactic — less this time for the band than for the opportunity to spend some time with some of the New York contingent. You never really know someone until you’ve been cooped up in a car with them on a road trip.
  • The next night there seems to be a big birthday bash in NYC, and I’m invited. Times listed were 11 pm to 4 am. No benefit to my constitution can come from this, but I’m going anyway. ^_^

And we’re done.

Addendum: Later that night, as my cousin Erin and I were about to enter Irving Plaza, I was informed by the girl at the ticket counter that I had actually purchased tickets for the show on Saturday night. Hey, what’s the point of being a scatterbrain if you can’t show it off every once in a while? Real good thing I’m heading to DC next weekend.
