If I seems a bit out of it today, you’ll have to forgive me. Last night was the Lime Group holiday party. I know, kind of early in the season to be dealing with this kind of thing, but seeing as how Christmas commercials were hitting the air right after Halloween, I guess the holiday season is getting longer. By that logic, our gathering was right in the thick of it. Hey, at least we were actually in December. ^_^
This all took place at Sky Studios, which is the kind of place you get to see the inside of maybe once in a lifetime unless you know people who know people, or you’re independently wealthy. Take two penthouses, mash them together and give them a spectacular view of the cityscape from the rooftops. That’s kind of what this place was like. Pictures just don’t do it justice, which is just fine because my camera decided to flake out and stop working just before I got there. Thankfully, there were others taking pics on my behalf, so if and when I get my grubby little mitts on them, I’ll be sure to share.
As an aside, at least I know what I’m getting myself for Christmas.
Health-wise I probably should have sat this one out — I’ve been fighting a cold since before Thanksgiving — but I couldn’t rightly pass up the opportunity to get to know my coworkers better (and have a few drinks on the company dime along the way). Of course, I’m paying for that decision now. I’ve had good days and bad days, but today has been supremely tough. I sure hope that’s because this bug is going away in a blaze of glory. Ah, the joys of a forthcoming winter….
