So did you all have a happy whatever-it-is you celebrate? My Christmas was good, though there were some bumpy spots. I’ll start with those and end with the good.
Shopping and shipping wise, there were some issues. Some of the gifts I got my sister and her fiance they already had — something I didn’t find out in some cases until they were unwrapping the gifts themselves. Oops! Looks like I need better lines of communication next year. But the topper had to be my issues with Amazon, which let me down for the first time ever, with one of the packages I ordered never showing up. Funny, because this was supposedly the first one to be shipped out. Did someone in my building swipe it? Did the USPS misplace it, or even worse, send it to the wrong address? Well, regardless of the hows and whys, it’s late and I have to spend time trying to sort this out. One thing I’m sure of is that the Amazon support pages and contact forms suck — you have to jump through too many hoops for help. Redesign is desperately needed.
With those two issues aside, the rest of my Christmas was great. Got to see family and friends, got a few nice gifts (the highlights of which were slippers and the keyboard I’ve been pining over), and had a nice amount of time off to enjoy all of the above. Good friend Teresa also had some good news to share after finding out that Mayor Bloomberg read a book of hers to sick kids in a Bronx hospital on Christmas.
Now all I have to do is get together New Year’s plans, which I’m in the process of doing as I write this. Tonight I guess I’ll be sitting at home with toasty feet as I continue to try to figure out how to play the theme to The Legend of Zelda on the keys — something I stumbled upon by accident last night. Good times. ^_^
