This past Wednesday night, Teresa, Chris, Amanda and I took in a Knicks game at the Garden, thanks nice seats available. Who cares if the team was in the midst of a nasty 10-game losing streak during one of the worst seasons in recent memory — it’s live basketball at the Garden! Not only that, but now I can finally say I’ve seen all my favorite teams play at home (Yankees, Giants and Rangers, if you’re keeping track of such things).
A great time was had, the Knicks beat the Raptors 98-86, and I had some sage advice imparted upon me by a gentleman in the row in front of us: “Never deny talking about breasts”.
I think my face was as red as the shot clock light on the baskets, or at least it felt that way.

“Always look at tits” was, I believe, the correct quote from the rather old man in the seat in front of us. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much.
Yeah, that certainly sounds more accurate. Guess I was paraphrasing without even realizing it. I guess my sense of minor embarrassment muddled up those words in my head a bit.
I hope that someday I’ll be able to sit in front of a group of youngsters at a game and impart my words of wisdom upon them just like that guy did. I mean, listening in to the conversations of the people in the row behind you is certainly more entertaining than watching a basketball game in seats you paid over $200 for. ^_^
