Feeling like I went 15 rounds with a bionic George Foreman

Why the hell am I such a head case this morning? Oh wait, it’s already afternoon as I start this. Screw the morning line then.

For all intents and purposes I had a decent weekend. There was that nice little happy hour on Friday to hash out details for a forthcoming ski trip to Vermont. Then there was the productive and entertaining combo of web work and karaoke in Park Slope on Saturday. Finally got to help my dad on Sunday as he finally made the transition from dial-up to DSL. And Sunday night? As restful as any I had known. Still, come Monday morning and all I want to do is hold up in my apartment, lock the door and bury my head in the mattress.

If I could have climbed into the wooden framing of my futon, I would have. Sometimes I wonder if life as a tree would have been any easier? So little is expected of you. Just sit there, turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, provide some shade and give some squirrels a place to nest.

I blame part of the lack in posting on global warming (or global climate change, as the politicos are want to say). More realistically, you can blame it on my new toy, the Wii. But it’s a toy with benefits. I’m 40 hours into Zelda, and 15 pounds lighter since the start of the new year (WiiSport combined with watching what I eat more closely is doing a number reduction game on the scale). Maybe I should compliment this with one of these ugly, yet functional calorie burning desks?

i want a geek-cycle! wait, i don’t see any wacom attachments, and it is downright hideous.

i can only imagine what a designer’s desk cycle would look like? And you could even make it so the peddling charges a back up battery or something. Wow…if I ever get to the point of trying to make one, I’ll make sure to throw a nice big Wacom tablet in there for you, Karina. ^_^
