Yes, I’m alive and well, thank you. I know that some of you might have questioned that fact when the last post made talked about flying high above the northeast as I made my way to Chicago. Indeed, there were no crashes or catastrophes, nor foul play or bouts of amnesia. I got home, got very busy and forgot that I had a web site to write for. In other words: par for the course.
As always, my writing is behind schedule, and the photo posting stuck way behind that. Trust me, they will make their way up at some point before the next ice age. As a sign of good faith, here’s two shots that prove I actually left my apartment and didn’t make up the whole trip (as if you doubted my words?):

There are another 969 shots I have to sort through from my three day whirlwind tour of the windy city.
Of course, it’s not just the recent photos I’ve been stingy on posting. There’s a whole library of photos that are already sorted into groups, ready to post. Hell, some were once on this site in the long since defunct “Memories” section. Feeling somewhat guilty, I took a slice of my non-existant spare time and posted a few sets — both old and new — to my Flickr account. Here’s they are, chronologically reversed for your viewing pleasure:
-
The 30th birthday bash-a-ma-tag (Apr. 21, 2007)
Two days before the big milestone, a host of people gathered to help me celebrate it in style. Festivities started at Jake’s Dilemma on the upper west side, continued with a heary meal at EJ’s Luncheonette, and wound down with karaoke at Second on Second. -
On a Coney Island afternoon (Aug. 5, 2006)
Chris, Teresa, Erin and I headed out to the isle of Coney Island to celebrate Teresa’s birthday — my first visit to the famous New York landmark. -
My own personal Waterloo (Aug. 9, 2003)
One rainy summer afternoon Joanna and I ventured out to see a host of really great bands play at the Waterloo concert field in NJ. -
A lazy Saturday in Allaire (May 27, 2000)
Some pictures from a springtime visit to Allaire State Park, one of the best places NJ has to offer.
The hope is that I can continue to add more photo sets before I leave to head off to Bonnaroo next Wednesday. Of course, I’m also trying to get a blog launched for the office by that time as well, so no guarantees. The plus to that, though, is that I’m learning TONS more about actually crafting a good custom WordPress template, and all that hard work will find its way onto this beast of a site after my trip.
Ah, the things I do for my hobby….
