LOL..and your "wireless audio bridge" is unavailable. i've read many people having problems with "dropouts" and poor sound quaility with those devices. though..not sure if poor sound quality is due to the bit rate of their mp3's.

I can certainly say that the CD changer is not the way to go. Just a quick look at the first things Google and Amazon brought up shows me a CD changer being about $230 and a wireless audio bridge running around $150.

If you happen to use iTunes for your music library on the computer, you can go even lower than that and just buy a $99 Airport Express. That will not only extend your WiFi in the house, but you can output music to speakers hooked up to it.

Then again, the real costs with a digital music collection are for the storage and backup space.

i've been toying with different ideas for having greater access to my cd collection as well. i've thought about getting one of those 400 cd changers. not sure if i want this huge stereo component in my living room. the other idea is getting a receiver that can be connected to my home network and just ripping everything to the highest quality i'd be able to play. just don't have the cash to spend on that piece of equipment atm. i've checked out the wireless options but they just seem tedious and expensive. guess i'll keep saving my pennies...
