While I was visiting with my dad yesterday, he showed me this web site detailing one of the most miniscule, working model railroad layouts ever made. The layout measures 4′ by 8′ in N scale. In real life scale, that means you can hold the whole thing between your fingers.

What effort and patience it must have taken to create this. I would probably have gone insane trying to work with things that small.

I thought some truly passive visual stimulation would be good for the readership today. Things like Flash 6 and Windows Media Player are going to be required to see them, but it’s well worth it. For your viewing pleasure, we present:

A Honda ad called “Cog” where parts from the new Accord are turned into a Rube Goldberg-ian machine. All real parts, no computer animation and it only took 606 takes to do it. Links to articles about the ad are also on the page.

A japanese kabuki theater troops take on the Matrix…as it pertains to ping-pong. So inventively funny it hurts.

Some sort of robot-style dancing contest, with the gentelman in orange sporting some inhuman moves. Makes one wonder if his skeletal structure is created from rubber or what not.

(Hat tips to My boss, Memepool and Davezilla respectively)

My boss sent me this link to one of the most creative commercials I have seen in a while. Done in a style that would make Rube Goldberg jealous; it’s like one of his contraptions come to life.

Strangely enough, I have yet to see it on TV as of yet. I’m curious as to why not. I mean, it’s far and away much more entertaining than the entire lineup of the PAX network could ever hope to be.

Hey, I got an idea. Why not loop this commercial in place of the PAX network for a week and compare the average ratings. I wonder which would have the higher ratings? ^_^
