Those fine folks over at Google are constanly experimenting with new and exciting ways to search through data. As such, they have set up Google Labs to house their many different attempts. I just hope they have better results with their crack staff than Dr. Bunsen Honeydew has with his Muppet Labs staff. ^_^

A stay of execution for webcasts

Score one for the good guys, or so I hope. The U.S. Copyright Office rejected the proposed royalty rates for internet broadcasts that would have all but killed the cottage industry before it ever really had a chance to take off. This isn’t a guarentee that Copyright Office won’t come back and impliment a higher rate structure by their June 20th deadline, but I have a feeling that is highly unlikely.

The public good just might win out in this one. Wouldn’t that be something? ^_^
