According to Thomas Kean — chairman of the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks — the 9/11 attacks could have and should have been prevented. And to think that this is just the surface of all of this. The rabbit hole is going to get a lot deeper and darker before it’s all said and done.

The police in Florida are trying to force treatment center staff to cooperate with their attempt to build a case against Noelle Bush (G.W.’s niece). Why is this important?:

For those who are unfamiliar with treatment programs, they depend wholly on blunt honest dialogue. Without brutal honesty, treatment programs cannot function. The patients who go to treatment centers know that they can talk about things that they have done, knowing that they don’t have to face the courts (I’m not sure what they would do with something like a murder, but they’ll routinely set aside things like auto theft).

Residents in the Cincinnati area having a love/hate relationship with the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts site, where already public records like state tax liens, arrest warrants, bond postings and the like are all easily searchable and accessible over the net.

Sooner or later, your name will show up on a site similar to this one as more and more of government cuts down on paper and opens access to the public. But what should be on public record? It’s not big brother you have to worry about any more, but little brother, little sister, nosey neighbor, bored co-worker and so on.
